I just purchased these a couple weeks ago and used them to climb up Enchanted Rock at our Texas state park. These are sturdy. When descending, I was able to put them on the rock in front of me to support most of my weight due to my sometimes bad kneee. I even had my heavier friend use them and she could do the same.
I bought these because I was going on a trip via airplane and wanted poles that fit inside a carry on. These fit with room to spare. I used them every day for a week and they were great. Sturdy, easy to put together and take apart. I had no problems with them and was impressed with the quality.
Loved the cork grips. My hands usually swell when hiking without poles. Using the poles alleviated that for me. Also, the poles collapse easily. Can't believe it took me this long to realize the benefits of using poles to hike.

Used these poles today at Bryce National Park-heavy snowpack and icy conditions, but spikes on my shoes and these poles made the hike nice (lots of going up and going down slippery area’s but again these poles dug in and made the trip. Would not have tried it without them
